Clay Porter's latest film Hynosis Visual Intensity will be premiering 8:00 sharp on February 9th at the Regency Laguna South Coast Cinema in Laguna Beach, CA. Clay's previous filim, Synopsis provided excellent footage of selected gravity events in the United States including Sea Otter and the NORBA series. Hypnosis will follow that same line, but should promise to offer even better footage than before. This is going to be good so mark your calendars. If you want to move up on the podium, then get on it. more information at MBAction.com or check out the Team Houseman website.
Some SBF riders took the opportunity to attend last year's DH clinics and found them very helpful in gaining confidence on the bike as well as getting good lines dialed in on the race course. Last weekend the SBF crew rode their local spot in PV with 2004 MTX World Champion and Team Mongoose's Eric Carter. Eric was on hand with his personal quiver of racing machines including his two new signature bikes, the ECD and ECX, as well as the hardtail he rode in the Red Bull Road Rage. The SBF team and guests had the opportunity to try out each of the bikes on their native terran with Eric to assist in tuning the bike to suit their size and style.
All of the riders responded with very positive feedback finding both bikes to be incredibly agile and responsive, especially the ECD with its extremely light weight. After a few hours of riding together, Eric let the gang go off to try out the bikes on their own. Later, everyone met up top for barbeque and time talk to EC about the bikes and riding in general.
SBF always has a great time riding together, but we were especiallly pleased and appreciative to have Eric Carter come out and share his equipment and passion for the sport of mountain bike racing with us. With that, we would like to thank Eric for coming out. We had a blast.

South Bay Freeride would like to extend a special thanks to Don Jackson and the whole Southridge Racing Club crew for organizing and hosting a great series of events for the 2005 racing season. The loss of Big Bear hit the Southern California DH racing community pretty hard, but Don Jackson and SRC stepped up to keep the sport alive and kicking. SBF appreciates the effort and will continue to bring a strong presence to Southridge in in the 2006 racing season.
If you are new to mountain bike racing, Southridge is a great place to get started. You won't find a friendlier or more supportive bunch of people anywhere. For more information please visit www.southridgeusa.com.

On Saturday, December 3 and Sunday, December 4 the Warrior's Society will host trail work parties at the Flying B Ranch. The plan is to constructing the first of 4 new single track trails and the one downhill course to be used in our 2006 Flying B Event Series.
The majority of the terrain of the first XC singletrack they are building is on a gentle grassy slope and will require very little benching and no brushing. Trail designers Eron Boyer and Jason Sladeck have laid out two new singletracks that really flow and will be fun to ride both up and down.
